| In August 2002 members of the UK Tank Club had
another get together at their proving ground in West Sussex. Here are a few
pictures of that weekend. |

 |
|
The first few pictures show some of the
members models apart from mine! Here we see Chris Leech's 1/8th Panther with
the excellent Infra Red commanders sight. |
This is Peter Shaw's (him of Discovery
Super Models fame!) super detailed 1/6th King Tiger. Lots of dots! |
Here is Chris Walkers 1/8th JagdPanther
together with some smoke from one of his Pyros! |
This is Jim Cusworth's 1/6th Tiger proudly
showing it's new working headlight. |
Jim's Tiger and my Panther trying to find
some Russians. |

 |
 |
 |
|
And here's one of them, Howard's T-34
pretending to be real, and doing a good job of it. |
Humpy tinkers with Chris Leech's Panther,
trying to remove the IR night sight without him seeing! |
Just to prove that even my models do break
down occasionally here's a picture of me repairing my JagdPanther track.
|
While Jim fiddles with his Tiger. |
Before it's messy debacle Mark Spencer took
his super detailed King Tiger around the assault course to prove that the
biggest can do what the smallest can do! |

|
These next few pictures show Mark's party
piece at the BBQ crossing the small stream. |
As you can see it went in quite deep so he
had to go in after it. |
He thought he'd try what we were doing
earlier in the year but the mud was deeper this time. |
After extricating it from the mud it looked
a bit sorry for itself and smelly! |
And it wasn't the only thing that smelt.
Here we see a new use for a gun barrel! |
|
 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
|
Finally we see a collection of models
battling against Chris Walker's pyros. |
The good thing about these get togethers we
have is the exchanging of ideas and comparisons with the models. |
There's always somebody who's had a problem
and has worked out a solution so why struggle? That's what being in the UK
Tank Club's all about. |
While some of us ran our models others
posed Dragon figures with there's against Peter Shaw's new ruined buildings. |
Here's a picture of Howard's excellent T-34
coming up out of the mud. |

 |
 |
 |
 |
 |
|
And away. |
The old faithful, my JagdPanther doing the
rounds. |
My Panther on one of the bridges at the
proving ground. |
Here's a good low angle view of Jim's Tiger
1 showing the headlight to good effect. |
This picture isn't of the best quality but
is included because of the novelty of seeing two 1/6th King Tigers in
formation! These are tow of the three that were there that weekend. One is
Marks and the other belongs to either Tav or Micheal Allen I forget which! |

 |
 |
|
|
|
Here's a rarity, one of the Mark-1-Tanks
T-80's. This did as well around the course as did the WWII models. |
Good old Howard doing the honours with the
BBQ. |
As promised on a previous BBQ page here is a
picture of my 1/8th Panther firing it's 8mm blank starting pistol at night.
Apologies for the poor quality of the picture but it was taken from a video
using a CamCorder with infra red capability! |
