| Once again members of the UK Tank Club went along in support of Mark Spencer of Mark-1-Tank to the Euro Militaire show in Folkestone, UK. This year we had a better location in a marquee outside of the main hall whereas last year we were split between two floors. We had a large display in the marquee but took the models outside to display them on the Leas. Here are a few pictures of the weekend. | ||||
|
Jim's 1/6th Tiger adorned with Dragon figures and a squashed GI! |
Mark's super detailed 1/6th King Tiger oversees the capture of enemy equipment. |
Oh look, another JagdPanther also lacking side armour but with running boards. I wonder who's model this is...! |
These are Chris Leech's Bandai 1/15th models. The Stug III is a conversion from the stock Stug IV model next to it. |
This is the marquee where we were housed. Behind the marquee can be seen the roof of the Leas Cliff Hall where we were last year. |
|
As can be seen there was a lot of interest in the models, as usual! |
Here's the other half of the stand with Jim flashing his nobbly knees! |
Here is a rare species indeed, the rarely photographed Howard, our consultant engineer on Candid Camera! |
We took the models out onto the grass in the sun for some pictures. |
Here are Marks Tiger I, King Tiger and Jims Tiger I. |
|
The next three pictures show the 1/8th scale models at the show. |
From left to right are Howard's T-34, my JagdPanther, my Panther, Mark's Panther, Chris Leech's Panther, the mystery JP and Mark's T-34. |
Howard did tell me what the writing said on the T-34. It's probably rude! |
And here are all the models put together, what a line up. |
What a fine body of men! Even Howard's there after being shoved into the line. |
