On Sunday 21st April we attended the Ascot model show at the Ascot racecourse. We were outside and fortunately the weather was very good for April, good job too! This did allow us to display our models with ease and Mark Spencer thrilled the crowds by driving his 1/6th Tiger up a set of stairs. We finished the afternoon by giving a demonstration with some 1/16th Tamiya models fitted with the Tamiya Battle System. This allows the drivers to shoot at each other registering hits, and eventually disabling the enemy tank-great fun!

Here's our stall hi-jacked by Mark Spencer of Mark-1-Tanks!

Big and small tigers on the prowl.

Mark thrilled the crowds with his Tiger climbing up a set of stairs. I tried this with my Panther but nearly turned it over as it slipped sideways!

Mark and Jim's Tigers scaring the younger population.

At the invitation of the RC Car Clubs Mark was invited to drive round the car racing track. Somebody threw this body shell in for Mark to run over which he duly did.

The trouble was a couple of the car drivers got carried away and started teasing the Tiger. As you can see not very clever! This model was run over fair and square but drove off afterwards, very tough.

Howard's T-34's debut was at the Ascot show. A very impressive model shown here chasing mine and Chris Walker's JagdPanthers.

Towards the end of the day Mark and Gary Bailey gave the crowd a demonstration with their Tamiya 1/16th models fitted with the Tamiya Battle System.

Here is Gary's Sherman, you can see the Battle System plug-in sticking out the turret hatch.

And here is Mark's Tiger. These models are very impressive with all the sound effects and actions.

Three wise men! Mark myself and Gary ponder the wonders of the Tamiya Battle System.
